Meet Star – a booze-loving, bowtie-wearing duck who was recently pulled over by local police while ‘driving’.

Star was comfortably seated on the lap of his 71-year-old owner, Barrie Hayman, as Barrie drove around Devon, England, with his quacking pet and a dog.

A local cop was taken aback by the unusual discovery and before sending the trio off, snapped a picture and shared it on Twitter.

“Officer stops a car with a duck wearing a tie, a dog and an old man in it,” Sergeant Harry Tangye tweeted.

“That’s it. It happened. Really. It did.”

Star has become somewhat of a local celebrity for his love of beer and bar brawls.

In fact, the two-legged quacker is such a usual at The Old Courthouse Inn, he even has his own stool at the bar.

But knocking back the pints has resulted in Star being involved in a few serious scuffles with fellow bar attendees.

One such attendee was a dog Meggie, also owned by Barrie.

The fed-up canine left the duck with a serious injury.

“Star pushed his luck too far and Meggie snapped – splitting Star’s bottom beak right down the middle,” Barrie said at the time.

Star has since recovered, making a name for himself in the process.

A book has been written about him and he even has his own Facebook page, Star Hayman, where regular status updates are shared.

He sure is climbing the ladder to stardom – one quack at a time.
