Paris - Relatives and friends of people who were missing on Saturday following the Paris terrorist attacks have taken to Twitter in a bid to track them down.

Dozens of photos of men and women were posted on the social media website under the hashtag #rechercheparis, which translates into Paris search.

Some of the missing people were reported to have been at the Bataclan concert hall, where at least 80 people were killed, and at other locations where the attacks took place.

"No news from Juliette since yesterday. If you have information, contact us!" one post reads.

"Clara, 18 years old, of medium height. Thank you for letting me know if you find her," another user wrote.

Some people used the hashtag to express their solidarity and support to those with missing friends and relatives, while others used it for more philosophical posts.

"I'm looking for a trace of humanity. If you see it, give me a sign," a user calling himself Pray for Paris wrote.
