Whether it's a peck on the lips or a full-on French kiss, we've compiled a list of ways you can celebrate!

Xoxo!

Need an excuse for a little lip-locking today? You're in luck -- today is International Kissing Day!

If you're planning on marking the occasion by sharing a sneaky snog with your significant other (or, ahem, a "special friend") here's a little inspiration on different ways you can do it.

The surprise snog

This kiss is usually achieved by catching the person you are kissing off-guard, but be warned -- it might not have the desired effect...

Tonsil hockey

Well, it's certainly passionate... This kiss involves plenty of tongue action. A famous example of this risque kiss was Madonna kissing Drake during a performance -- we don't think he liked it very much.

The kiss and dip

This romantic movie-like kiss is sure to sweep your partner off their feet -- literally. To nail this kiss, hold your partner around the waist and (carefully!) gradually dip. Fair warning: this kiss can be catastrophic when incorrectly executed.

The chaste peck

Perfect for those who aren't too keen on PDA (public displays of affection) -- or when you need to sweetly kiss your partner in front of their parents. "This is all we do, swear!"

The neck nibble

A little nibble on the neck never hurt nobody! (Unless your partner happens to be Edward Cullen. Although Bella seemed to enjoy it? But we digress...) This kiss is very intimate but if done right, it could get a playful laugh out of your partner -- or lead to something even more intimate. Another warning: this kiss is not for your first date!

The cheek kiss

For the first date that went rather well! It shows your date that you're attracted to them without being overbearing, just in case they're not keen.

The hair-grabber

It's getting pretty hot in here! This kiss is as passionate as it gets. But seriously, don't try this if you're still getting to know your partner.

The mother-bird kiss

This aptly-named smooch looks oddly similar to a mother bird feeding her chicks. Best used if both parties want to show affection while in a rush. Gets awkward if it lasts more than two seconds.

The air kiss

This kiss is flirty, fun and hey, all you need is you! It can communicate your love to someone without actually having to lock lips. Or it's a great way to show yourself some love. Find a mirror, you beautiful thing!

The French kiss

It's an old classic -- the only problem is it can go horribly wrong if you don't do it right. If you're unsure of yourself, you might want to read some Wiki how-tos or watch some YouTube videos before the big event...
