She's done everything from a heptathlon and rhythmic gymnastics - and she's got a megawatt smile and abs to die for.

Congratulations @ingeviljoen - the 2017 #WHNextFitStar ?????

It's little wonder the pretty Pretoria personal trainer has been crowned SA's Next Fitness Star 2017. Inge Viljoen claimed the coveted title on Thursday, beating out four other finalists on her quest to be SA's next #fitspo. Inge’s win was narrowed down first by reader votes and eventually by a panel of judges who applauded her versatility, her energy and her natural approach.

For me, it's all about having body confidence!! ???????? #bodyconfidence #mondaymotivation #movingfit

“I love Inge’s versatile approach to fitness," former Olympian Sanani Mangisa said. "The idea that we can take fitness anywhere is appealing and exactly what the fitness industry needs to hear more of."

Inge (24) specialises in training women at their homes, using simple equipment like resistance bands and medicine balls, along with household furniture. The brunette beauty keeps her own body strong and fit with a combination of weight training, animal-flow workouts, bodyweight movements, kickboxing and athletic cardio. “I love functional movement,” she says. “It’s not just about being strong, but being able to do stuff with your body,” the sports-mad trainer adds.

According to Woman's Health editor Danielle Weakley, it was Inge's zest for life that really endeared her to the judges. “Inge’s incredible zest for life commands the room,” Danielle said. “She just brings such a high voltage energy and joy to fitness that even when she is performing the most insane of moves – with ridiculous ease, I might add – she makes it look like something you absolutely want to try.
"And that’s what we were looking for – someone who would inspire everyday girls, like me and the team and our readers, to enjoy fitness and a good exercise routine.”

The competition was launched last year by the magazine to find local "fitfluencers".  As the winner, Inge has clinched a brand ambassadorship with adidas and Women’s Health and will be taking a headline spot at Fit Night Out – Women’s Health’s wildly popular giant-sized workout party happening at Montecasino on August 12.

As Next Fitness Star 2016 and 2017 judge, Mapule Ndhlovu says: “When you love, live and breathe fitness... That’s Inge! She’s so deserving of the title and I’m looking forward to sharing the stage with her at Fit Night Out.”
