Make these bright Christmas wreaths to add a fun festive flavour to your home.

Break with tradition and make these unusual wreaths we found on Pinterest. I particularly like the Santa one – it put a smile on my face when I saw it.

Can you believe this wreath is made of knotted fabric strips and a wire hanger?

And here’s the picture that shows how to do it. When you’re done, simply hang a decoration of your choice on ribbon in the middle.

Make this wreath in the same way as the knotted one above, using strips of fine netting instead of fabric. Add a Santa hat and – voila! – you’re in business.

Beach brolly wreath

This isn’t actually a Christmas wreath but because it’s also party season I’ve added this lovely creation that celebrates South Africa’s warm weather and beach/pool culture. It’s very easy to make: find a foam wreath at a craft shop, add lots of paper cocktail brollies and attach a loop of string or ribbon for hanging or use flat as a table centrepiece.
