Amanda Bynes has reportedly been put on an involuntary psychiatric hold.

Amanda Bynes has reportedly been put on an involuntary psychiatric hold.

The former actress arrived in Los Angeles Friday and was taken directly to the hospital, according to TMZ. A source told the outlet Amanda thought a car service was going to take her to The London Hotel, where her parents and their attorney would meet her. According to the insider, Amanda’s parents arranged for the car to take her to a hospital in Pasadena instead.

‘He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually.’

The family’s lawyer, Tamar Arminak, was reportedly there waiting with doctors who placed her on a 5150 psychiatric hold - enacted on those deemed to be a danger to themselves or others.

Amanda will reportedly be held at the facility for 72 hours.

The hold could be extended for 14 days, during which time Amanda’s parents could petition to obtain a conservatorship over her affairs.

Rick and Lynn Bynes previously obtained a conservatorship over the former actress after a series of concerning incidents resulting in her being put on a 5150 hold in July 2013.

The temporary guardianship order ended September 10, according to E! News. Since then, Amanda has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Los Angeles and has displayed increasingly concerning behaviour.

Earlier Friday, the star claimed she was seeking to obtain a restraining order against her father amid allegations he physically and sexually abused her.

She later recanted, writing on Twitter that her father “never did any of those things”, while accusing him of ordering her to be microchipped.

Her parents and siblings wasted no time speaking out to deny the claims and support Rick.

“My clients are heartbroken by these false accusations. Their older children are also horrified at the situation," Tamar Arminak told TMZ.

"I am heartbroken today for my husband of 47 years," he later told E! News on Lynn’s behalf. "Rick has been the best father and husband a family can ask for. He has never abused Amanda or our other children physically or sexually. These accusations are absolutely horrible and could not be further from the truth! These allegations stem from Amanda's mental state at the moment. They have no basis in reality. It saddens me beyond belief that my husband's character could be slandered in such a way."

A spokesperson for the family had not immediately commented on reports of Amanda’s hospitalisation.
