"I was teary-eyed all weekend," Amor revealed.

After years of heartache Amor Vittone (44) and her family have been battling to come to terms with the news that her brother-in-law, Mike, has stage 3 lymph cancer.

So last week, when Amor's father, Dario Vittone, experienced intense stomach cramps, the family feared the worst.

“With the recent diagnoses of my brother-in-law, he was worried," the singer told YOU. "My mother had to beg him to go to the doctor – you know, men don’t like that kind of thing.

“The doctor did a biopsy and told him that it may be cancer. We waited for five days and were stressed about the results. I was teary-eyed all weekend."

On Thursday evening, the family got the good news – Dario is cancer-free. “The doctor told my dad that he's one of the strongest and fittest 75-year-old’s he’s ever seen.”

Unfortunately, her sister Ilana's husband, Mike (48), is still battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Ilana, a medical doctor, has been living in Canada with her family for the past 20 years.

“My father’s is very sad about the fact that his second son-in-law has now fallen ill," Amor said. "First Joost was diagnosed with MNS and now my brother-in-law with stage 3 lymph cancer."

Mike is due to have another biopsy on Friday, Ilana wrote in a post on Facebook.

"If that comes back inconclusive, then more surgery will be scheduled to retrieve a node in his abdomen.

"But we keep on trusting that we'll overcome this. And in the meantime Mike continues to pray, work, exercise, and drink green smoothies to be well prepared for a good fight.

"Thanks again to our friends, family and church who continue to support us in any way they can."
