Build a Body (free) is one of my favourites. It’s a game in which you “build” a body piece by piece against the clock. You choose which parts of the skeleton, digestive system, respiratory system, excretion system or blood circulation system you want to build and the game allows you to, through trial and error, find the right hole for the mandible or sternum for example. So if you don’t know immediately where the organ or bone belongs you can slide a finger over the body until you find the right place. Fun and educational.

Human Body Facts 1000 (free) has 1 000 body facts that are nice to know. It’s just a pity the app isn’t illustrated or presented as a question-and-answer game, but you can use the facts to create your own quiz game for the children. And it’s free.

These apps are available in the Apple iTunes store.
