Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous

Abigail Morgan loved to visit her Grandma Lulu. Her grandmother had lots of hats and Abigail had great fun trying them all on, Grandma Lulu loved Abigail to bits. Every time she saw Abigail in a new hat she said: “Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous!”

Abigail took her cat Sarafina with her when she visited Grandma. Sarafina’s real name was Her Royal Highness Princess Sarafina Von Lichetenstein Holstein Hanover van der von den ohhh-la-la. For short, Abigail called her Sassy.

Grandma Lulu also had a cat. He was called Oscar but he hid away when Abigail was trying on hats as he was afraid that she might make him wear one too. Oscar was a cat who took himself very seriously and there was nothing he disliked more than being made to look silly. He considered himself to be a very well-bred and superior type of cat. He loved napping – if left to his own devices he could sleep all day – and he didn’t like being disturbed. His real name was Mr Best Cat in the Whole Wide World Oscar Wilde – that’s what Grandma called him and he believed every word of it.

Abigail loved the hat with violet flowers all over it. It looked like a spring garden. When ever she wore it Grandma Lulu would say: “Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous.

The hat with the sequins made Abigail feel like a rock star. He grandma would say “Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous.”

The hat with the feathers looked very daring and made Abigail feel like doing something exciting like jumping up and down on a trampoline just to make the feathers quiver and shake like a bird. Her Grandma Lulu said “Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous.”

Abigail tried on such a big hat that she completely disappeared. The hat covered her eyes so she couldn’t see anything at all . . .

“Where are you Grandma?” she called out. “Are you still here?”

“Of course I’m here, dear,” Grandma Lulu replied. “And Abigail Morgan, you look fabulous.”

When it was time to go home Abigail decided to wear a sparkly tiara that Grandma Lulu had bought just in case she was ever got invited to have tea with the queen of England. Wearing it made Abigail feel like a princess.

“Goodbye, darling,” said Grandma Lulu. “You look fabulous.”

Oscar the cat peeped out from his hiding places. Very softly under his breath he whispered. “Goodbye, Sarafina. You look fabulous!” Then he went back to sleep.
