Benedict Cumberbatch has reportedly married Sophie Hunter.

People magazine reports that the British couple tied the knot on Valentine's Day, choosing to say their vows at St. Peter and St. Paul's Church in Mottistone, located on the Isle of Wight, England. The private ceremony then moved to Mottistone Manor for the reception.

The quintessentially British church dates back to the 12 century and is maintained by the National Trust.

A local resident explained to the publication that theatre director Sophie (36) has a special connection to the venue; she is related to the Nicholson family, who live on the estate and are descendants of the 1st Lord Mottistone.

“Seely family or Nicholson family now are tenants or residents even though they're the hereditary landowners," the church organist told People. "Seely Family are the Lords and Ladies but they've sold their house to the National Trust. They live there or live on as tenants. They must have some sort of special agreement with the National Trust.”

The happy pair are said to have brought in their own flowers, cake and music with local business owners commenting they did not make anything for the big day.

In addition to tying the knot 38-year-old Benedict and Sophie are also excitedly awaiting the arrival of their first child.

News broke of the pregnancy in January; just two months after the couple revealed they were due to marry. They chose to announce the engagement via the Forthcoming Marriages section of British newspaper The Times.

Benedict is also enjoying an exciting 2015 with his career, as well as his personal life. His turn as WWII code breaker Alan Turing in The Imitation Game has won him rave reviews and awards recognition, including a best actor Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG Award nomination. He is also in the running to take home gold at this year’s Oscars, which take place on February 22.
