It’s one of the best-known music and art festivals in the world and only the cream of the music industry get the chance to perform here – but South African DJ and music producer Black Coffee provided some stiff competition.

Black Coffee, known for among others his hit We Dance Again, was on the list of artists who performed at Coachella this year – and this with big names such as Kanye West, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding also on the bill. He performed in the Yume tent on Friday evening and shared a picture on Instagram before boarding a fight to Canada. The two-week Coachella music festival, held annually in California’s Colorado Desert, is one of the biggest music festivals in the world and attracts scores of stars. Among the celebrities seen at this year’s event were model Kendall Jenner, singers Katy Perry and Rihanna, as well as Leonardo DiCaprio.

The 40-yearold DJ is pretty busy. On Wednesday he flies to Mexico and on Friday he hits New York. On Friday he returns to California to perform at the second weekend of the festival. ““Dreams do come true,” he said on Instagram. “I came . . . I saw . . . and I was totally conquered by the love at Coachella.”

This isn’t the first time Black Coffee has made celebrities sit up and take notice. Earlier this year he performed at American hip-hop star P. Diddy’s party at his Miami-house -- and P. Diddy was blown away by his music.
