Blake's one-liner caused a social media storm.

No one could deny the blonde beauty looked jawdroppingly beautiful on the Cannes red carpet in the gold Atelier Versace dress that perfectly hugged her curves. But it was her subsequent Instagram post about it that caused a social media storm. "L.A. face with an Oakland booty," the pregnant star captioned a split screen post of the front and back of her dress.

Blake was referencing Sir Mix-A-Lot's catchy song Baby Got Back -- but the internet went crazy.

The post itself has clocked up almost 30 000 comments and counting, many of the lambasting the Gossip Girl actress for the 'racist' remark. One commenter wrote, "Another day, another rich white woman using WOC's [woman of colour's] bodies as a punchline and commodity." Another explained, ""The song itself is not racist, but the way she quotes racist it is. "By implying that white, fake blond girls are LA/hollywood and big asses are black, she's contributing to the ongoing objectification and dehumanization of black women in US culture. That's why it's problematic."

Of course, plenty rushed to the soon-to-be mom of two's defense.

"Love you Blake, ignore the haters looking fabulous!" one fan posted. "I definitely didn't look this great pregnant!"
