Book: Archbiship Desmond Tutu - Children of God Storybook Bible

What a lovely way to introduce children to the Bible.

In this delightful collection Archbishop Desmond Tutu picks 56 of his favourite biblical stories, retelling them in an instantly accessible way.

For example Genesis 37: “Daddy’s favourite! Joseph’s brothers sneered. Jacob had 12 sons but Joseph really was his favourite. Jacob even made him a special coat of many colours which Joseph liked to show off.”

Each of the stories is condensed to a double page and ends with a short prayer that relates to the tale. At the end of the Joseph story the prayer is, “Dear God, help me love my brothers and sisters.”

Kids who are too young to appreciate the stories will enjoy looking at the pictures created by 20 of the world’s leading illustrators.

The book is available in English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, Zulu, Tswana and Sotho.
