Book: Nora Ephron - I Remember Nothing

In this essay collection the veteran screenwriter of films such as When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle and Julie and Julia tackles the inevitability of getting old.

Now aged 70, she takes us on a fascinating journey through her life from when she started her career in a newspaper mailroom (women didn’t get much more than that in Nora’s day, not even when they had a university

degree).

The fascinating essays touch on various aspects of her life and she shares her opinions such as why she dislikes omelettes made of only egg whites.

She also offers a list of things she’ll miss when she’s dead.

It’s told in Nora’s delightfully quirky style and makes you feel as if you’re listening to a dear old friend.

But the book seems to come to an end too quickly and you may find yourself wishing it had more pages.
