Molefe is expected to resume his position at Eskom on Monday.

Former Eskom bigshot Brian Molefe is back in his post as CEO of the electricity giant.

Molefe is currently facing controversy after former Public Protector Advocate Thuli Madonsela’s so-called State of Capture report implicated him by revealing he had contacted the Gupta family over Eskom tenders.

Shortly after the report was made public, Molefe resigned from his position at Eskom and in February this year was sworn in as an ANC MP.

The minister of public enterprises, Lynne Brown, rejected a R30 million retirement package the Eskom board initially approved and consequently withdrew.
