British singer Lily Allen is on holiday in Cape Town.

The 28-year-old songbird regularly shares tweets about her experiences in the Mother City – and it seems she’s really enjoying the food.

Her holiday seems to have kicked off on 29 December, when she tweeted: “I’m on holiday here. There’s sand here. There’s sun here. I am happy.”

On January 2 Lily shared a photograph on Instagram when she ate at the Pot Luck Club in Woodstock and on 6 January she asked her Twitter followers where she could get a good manicure in Cape Town.

Other Cape Town restaurants Lily enjoyed has were La Colombe in Constantia and Café des Arts in Franschhoek.

She later visited Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden and drove past the Cape Town Film Studios where pirate show Black Sails are being filmed.

Although Lily is enjoying the natural beauty in South Africa, it seems she’s less impressed with some of the animals. She recently tweeted: “I’m not joking. I’m sitting in the garden and a baboon has just jumped over the wall and in now staring at me.”
