Katlego Maboe had a cold and wet Monday morning after being nominated by Leigh-Anne Williams to take part in the Ice Bucket Challenge.

The Espresso Morning Show presenter is the latest in a wave of celebs and personalities to take part in this latest viral campaign, which calls on individuals to share videos of themselves being drenched in ice water to promote awareness for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Motor Neuron Disease, and then nominate others to follow suit.

If they refuse, they have to donate money to the disease, although most participants have been getting drenched and donating, too.

"Did the #ALSIceBucketChallenge for all those who suffer from #ALS ( #MND ), especially my sister, Revoniah, who was diagnosed last year. So much more needs to be done to help find a cure and this in one little step in that journey. I hereby challenge @mmaponyane [Maps Maponyane] @poppyismyname [Poppy Ntshongwana] and the Honorable Minister Fikile Mbalula to take this challenge, as I did, to help create awareness around ALS/MND! You can do it too!"

Katlego is one of the first South Africans to take part in the global campaign, which is particularly close to his heart -- his sister was diagnosed with the disease.

"Challenge accepted," Maps commented on Katlego's Instagram post, and Minister of Sport and Recreation Fikile Mbalula simply added, "I'm in." 5FM DJ Poppy also accepted the challenge. We hope the trio put their money where their mouth is!
