Brümilda van Rensburg reveals heartbreaking news: 'I have no words'

Brümilda van Rensburg's brother died on Wednesday at the age of 64.

The former Egoli actress shared the tragic news on social media on Thursday morning.

"Our dear brother, Renico, has passed away," she wrote on Facebook. "I have no words. That's the will of the Lord and His will be done

"I'll talk again if I can. Thank you."

According to Netwerk24, Renico suffered from heart problems and is believed to have died of a heart attack in his sleep. Nancy found him dead in his flat in Plettenberg Bay after he did not respond to the family's messages.

Renico was a well-known fashion and beauty photographer, modeling manager and agent. He worked with the likes of Arnold Vosloo, Steve Hofmeyer, Leandie du Randt, Donna-Lee Robberts, Annelien Kriel and Jo-Anne Straus over the course of his career.

Brümilda, who currently stars as Jana du Preez in Binnelanders, spoke of the close bond she and her three siblings share in an interview with YOU's sister magazine Huisgenoot last year.

"We were spent our school holidays on the farm and share the same values."

Renico was the eldest child and only son. Brümilda also has two sisters, Fredrika Janse van Rensburg and Nancy Blomerus.

When Brümilda celebrated her 60th birthday last year, she spent 10 days with Renico and their sisters in Croatia.

According to his website, he broke a Guinness World Record in 1984 for an impressive 76-hour and 45-minute photoshoot, without stopping for a break.

He worked closely with Brümilda to prepare portfolios for her drama school and agency. Among other things, he would do photoshoots with her students and manage her website.
