Calling all avocado-lovers: Avolattes are a thing!

An Australian coffee shop has combined people’s love for avocados and lattes and has created the ‘avolatte’.

Just like some people don’t work out as a couple, certain foods are better off when consumed on their own.

No, it’s not a caffeine-infused avocado smoothie; consumers of the avolatte sip their lattes out of the shell of the avocado, as opposed to using a mug.

Truman Café created the drink as a joke, following a comment by Australian millionaire, Tim Gurner, that young people should stop buying avocado toast and coffee if they want to save money to buy a house.

“The avolatte is a fun way of rebelling against the older generation who says we won't own a house because we spend too much money on avocado and coffee," Cafe manager Jaydin Nathan told TODAY Food.

But what started as a joke became a trend and strange-concoction-loving millennials really took to drinking the avolatte.

"We never intended to sell them, but since all the attention has come, we've had quite a few customers come in and request them."
