He was unradio, but now it looks as though Gareth Cliff is “un-TV” too. Comedy Central have pulled the plug on The Gareth Cliff Show, according to a report.

Gareth's "unradio" show has only been on air for a month and a half and has already changed timeslots once -- Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) confirmed that the show would be cut at the end of June, after just 42 episodes. This after the broadcast was moved to an earlier timeslot from 07.35 am to 06.00 am at the beginning of the month in a bid to draw more viewers.

"Comedy Central said the timeslot change of The Gareth Cliff Show was due to viewers' requests for an earlier timeslot," local blogger Thinus Ferreira reports. "But it turns out viewers didn't want to listen/see it earlier - they didn't want to see it at all."

UPDATE: VIMN's Alison Reid confirmed the report. “Yes, it is true – we are coming off air after 42 episodes. The last show is 30 June. We’ll continue working with Gareth on other projects- he is hosting Comedy Central Presents Divine Live at the Lyric in September.”
