Chicken pot

A pot of heart-warming goodness.

Turn your weeknight into an amazing dinner.

Serves: 6 Preparation: 15 min Cooking: 45 min

  •  30 ml (2 T) oil
  • 1,5 kg chicken pieces
  • 10 ml (2 t) chicken spice
  • 500 g baby onions, peeled
  • 3 potatoes, cubed
  • 30 ml (2 T) dried mixed herbs
  • 30 ml (2 T) tomato paste
  • 400 g chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3 bay leaves, fresh
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 4 allspice berries, crushed
  • 3 whole cloves

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

1. Place a large ovenproof saucepan over medium heat. Add the oil and brown the chicken pieces. Sprinkle the chicken spice over the chicken. Add the onions and potatoes and cook for 3 minutes

2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, cover the pot with a lid or foil and place in the oven for 30 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
