Chocolate phyllo pastry parcels

Spoil your family or guests with this yummy treat. This recipe will take you about 15 minutes to make.

Makes 4 tartlets

Preparation time: 7-8 min

Baking time: 8-10 min

3 sheets phyllo pastry, each

brushed with melted butter

FILLING

100 g dark chocolate,

broken into pieces

100 g butter

6 egg yolks

60 ml (¼ c) caster sugar

80 ml (1/3 c) cake flour

extra melted butter

caster sugar for sprinkling on top

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Grease 4 hollows of a large muffin tin with butter.

Lay the pastry sheets on top of one another and cut into 4 squares. Line the muffin tin hollows with the pastry.

Filling Microwave the chocolate and butter together for 1-2 minutes. Stir.

Whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and fluffy. Stir in the cake flour and melted chocolate mixture.

Fill the pastry shells halfway with the chocolate mixture, fold the sides over the filling and press together. Brush the pastry with butter, sprinkle with caster sugar and bake for 8-10 minutes or until the pastry is golden.

Serve lukewarm.
