The State's indictment describes how raised voices were heard from the Van Breda home the night before the murders.

Henri van Breda has been warned not to leave the province as the triple murder and attempted murder case of his family heads to the Western Cape High Court on September 9.

The 21-year-old appeared in the Stellenbosch Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where he was released on bail of R100 000.

The State did not oppose his release.

In their indictment, the State describes how raised voices were heard from the Van Breda home the night before the murders. At 4am the next day, Henri tried to phone his girlfriend, but she didn't answer.

Minutes later, he searched for emergency numbers on Google.

He made the call to emergency services (which can be heard here) almost three hours later.
