This means the self-proclaimed businessman, who Z once referred to as her 'Bond', will remain behind bars until then.

Naidoo went to the hearing in the Alexandra Magistrate's Court with chains around his ankles, but remained smartly dressed in a blue and white checkered shirt and jeans. He stands accused of six charges of fraud and theft. According to the Sunday World, Naidoo allegedly conned teachers and pensioners out of their life savings, valued at millions of rands.

Naidoo reportedly scammed them through a foreign-exchange trading scheme and got them to invest with him by showing them pictures of him and an Audi R8 as well as bank statements.

His family members opted not to come inside the courtroom, but waited outside to show their support. Zinhle on the other hand, did not attend Monday's hearing.

Naidoo's defence lawyer Himendra Naidoo attempted to get him transferred to Leeuwkop prison. According to IOL, she argued that his current holding conditions created stress for the "chronic asthmatic".

However, Boshoff responded: "At this stage I don't want to hear it."

Naidoo will remain at the Johannesburg Central Prison.
