Dr Dre is buying Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's $50million (R518 000 000) Los Angeles mansion.

The rapper and producer, who is in talks to sell his Beats Electronics business to Apple for a rumoured $3.2billion (R33 billion), has been busy looking for a new property and has his eye on the impressive custom-built home in Brentwood.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: "Dre put an offer on the mansion as soon as it came on the market, and is a few weeks away from closing."

'They need to update the Forbes list. S**t just changed'

Insiders claim the star made an offer near the $50 million asking price for the 14 000-square-foot property, which boasts six bedrooms, a fully-equipped gym, library, infinity pool and even a moat and waterfall.

Gisele and Tom reportedly forked out $40 million (R413 600 000) over the space of four years to build their dream home but plan to relocate to Boston permanently, where they're busy constructing yet another massive 14 300 square-foot mansion over five acres of land.

The supermodel and NFL star - who have a four-year-old son, Benjamin, together - also recently splashed out on a $14million (R144 760 000) apartment in New York City.

Dre (49) recently joked about the Forbes list of the richest stars in hip-hop, which placed him at number two behind Puff Daddy, saying: "They need to update the Forbes list. S**t just changed."

In a video which was posted on actor Tyrese Gibson's Facebook page, Dre added: "The first billionaire in hip-hop, right here from the motherf***king West Coast", before later deleting the post.
