Easy brownies

This easy brownie recipe really is the best! Done in 15 minutes.

Makes about 30 Preparation time: 5 min Baking time: 15 min

  • 750 ml (3 c) cake flour
  • 350-500 ml sugar
  • 90 ml (6 T) cocoa powder
  • 10 ml (2 t) bicarbonate of soda
  • 160 ml (2/3 c) oil
  • 30 ml (2 T) grape vinegar
  • 10 ml (2 t) vanilla essence
  • 500 ml (2 c) cold water
  • 2 bars (100 g each) Top Deck chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 100 g mixed nuts, roughly chopped
  • icing sugar for dusting
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Line a roasting pan with baking paper.
  2. Sift together the dry ingredients and make a well in the middle.
  3. Whisk the oil, vinegar, vanilla essence and water and pour into the well. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Fold the chocolate and nuts into the batter and turn it into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until the top cracks but the cake is still moist. Leave to cool in the pan.
  5. Using a cookie cutter, cut out shapes of your choice and dust with icing sugar.
