She's kept it quiet for a while – nearly seven months to be exact!

But SABC sports presenter and radio personality Romy Titus is adding "mom" to her resume and is excited about the new journey into parenthood.

Romy is set to welcome her baby girl in April, she revealed exclusively to YOU.

"It has been an enjoyable journey with small hiccups like being ill for a week with gastro and having to go on a drip as I could not keep anything down," says Romy, who wants to keep her relationship with the father of her tot out of the limelight.

"But that was in the first trimester. I’ve been able to swim, continue my weight training with my personal trainer, attend Pilates and travel – all of this with a little life fiddling and forming inside me. I have really been blessed in every way on this journey."

Although an exciting time, it's come with it's fair share of trials too. The brunette beauty says that her first trimester were the worst of her pregnancy which saw her carrying around an extra accessory: plastic bags. Nausea would strike anywhere and at anytime – including while on radio or reporting live from many a football stadium.

"It knew no time or boundaries and I had to go with the flow... It was tough! But that’s all over now," she says with a sigh of relief.

But with the lows come the highs too and for these, she's most grateful.

"To be able to bear a child – has to be the highlight – to be chosen to carry a new life and nurture it until the point where they leave the nest and go make a way for themselves.

"I’ve met and interviewed so many women in my journalism career who felt so robbed not be able to bear children – and as my belly grows I’m reminded of that blessing," she says. "Each and every punch or kick  I’m reminded of the miracle that is baby!"

In terms of cravings or likes and dislikes for any particular food, Romy says she hasn't had any weird experiences - but she does admit that one thing that runs out pretty quickly around the home is Oros.

"Oros has become my life! I overindulge – I’ve even gone as far as Oros ice blocks – added to my Oros. There’s nothing nicer than an ice cold glass of Oros in the heat of summer with Oros Ice Blocks while pregnant."

While this is only her first, Romy has big plans for more bambinos in the future and that includes adopting – something she's been passionate about for a while.

For now, while she prepares for her princess, she looks forward to the crazy world of parenting, and also maybe loosening the reigns on some of her set ways.

"I’m very routine orientated and a little OCD… so having things not go my way will be challenge. I hope to let things be a little more – but the disciplinarian in my won’t go away… I hope to let things be a little more – but the disciplinarian in my won’t go away… I think I’ll be quite strict, but laced with love of course," she says.

"I love traveling and I cannot wait to take my travel buddy with me on trips to the beach and beyond the borders of South Africa.

I want her to see the world, experience cultures and realise that the world is big and wide and that she can conquer anything she sets her mind to! I can’t wait to re-explore through her eyes."
