Nineteen weeks until the end of the year. Eighteen weeks until Christmas. How’s that for frightening! You’d best buckle down and get working this week. Time just moves too quickly! And let’s start your week with vooma, with a song that’s about getting the job done.

Monday

Dolly Parton’s 1980 song Nine to Five is one of her biggest hits yet and takes a tongue-in-cheek look at corporate life.

Tuesday

Mike and the Mechanics have spent the past few days in South Africa performing to full venues in Gauteng and the Western Cape.  Here’s their well-known tribute to dads, The Living Years.

Wednesday

My hot pick for the week is this new love song from Pink featuring Lily Rose Cooper (It’s Lily Allen who is using her married name now). It’s called True Love and is wonderfully fresh and honest.

Thursday

Thursdays are old-school days – a chance to enjoy those magical hits of days-gone-by. Today’s hit was a chart topper in 1975 for soul legends Earth Wind and Fire. This is Reasons.

Friday

It’s Friday and you need a song to push you through the weekend. Something up beat! Ladies and Gentlemen, here’s Jason Derulo with The Other Side.
