From pimps to gangs: Teacher suspended for handing out 'racist' maths test

Joanne Bolster, a primary school teacher from Alabama has been suspended after handing out a bizarre maths assignment with "strong racial overtones."

"Dewayne pimps three h*s. If the price is $85 for each trick, how many tricks per day must each h- turn to support Dewayne's crack habit?” reads one question.

“How many drive-by shootings can Ramon attempt before he has to steal enough ammunition and reload?” reads another.

The test came to light after an enraged parent shared a photo of the test on Facebook.

Erica Hall says she couldn't “couldn’t believe it” when her son, who attends Burns Middle School, handed her a copy.

“They took it as a joke, and she told them that it wasn't a joke, and they had to complete it, and turn it in,” she explained to Local15.

“I was shocked because she's a strict teacher.”

Apparently, the test has been circulating the internet for a couple of years and mocks the crime in that area.

"We regret this happened. We have 7,500 employees at Mobile Public Schools and we overwhelmingly have excellent teachers," said Rena Philips, the school's director of communications.

"This is a shame that it’s taking away from their work."
