Frozen fun for hot days

Are you desperate for a healthy alternative to satisfy your child’s (and your) sweet tooth on hot days. Why not try a few frozen fruit lollies?

250 ml (1 c) fruit, finely chopped (we used mango, pawpaw, kiwi fruit and berries)

375 ml (1½ c) fat-free vanilla yoghurt

Put the fruit in a suitable container, combining them as desired. Cover and freeze until hard. Blitz the fruit and yoghurt in a food processor until smooth. Spoon mixture into small (125 ml) plastic tumblers, insert a wooden or plastic ice cream stick in each and freeze until hard.

Remove the lollies by squeezing the tumblers. Serve immediately.

If the lollies won’t dislodge rapidly dip the tumblers in a bowl of boiling
