Gaaratwe Mokhethi, a publicist on The Generations: The Legacy, reported told The Sowetan that the collision is still being investigated. "We can't comment under pressure because this is a sensitive matter. We have heard the rumours but cannot confirm or deny anything." In the meantime, medical care provider ER24 has released a statement.

“Four other patients were found on scene, two of them critically injured.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, both critically injured patients were airlifted by a private medical helicopter to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.

The two remaining patients were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for further treatment. Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”

According to SABC News, Rapulana, who plays Tau in the popular soap, is set to undergo surgery later today.

Other reports suggest two men were declared dead on the scene.
