George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin reportedly lavished wedding guests with a Tuscan feast.

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin reportedly lavished wedding guests with a Tuscan feast. The 53-year-old actor and his 36-year-old lawyer love tied the knot in Venice, Italy Saturday. And with guests including Cindy Crawford, Matt Damon and Bono, the couple apparently knew they had to go all out with their nuptials.

'George and Amal radiated love all night'

Following the ceremony at the seven-star Aman Canal Grande Hotel, the newlyweds treated their friends and family to a lavish meal from Salza Catering and chef Riccardo de Prà, according to E! News.

The feast began with canapés and small bites prior to the main meal, the outlet reports. Guests then kicked off the main meal with a starter of lemon and blue lobster risotto and lemon and ricotta ravioli. This was followed by a Chianina Tuscan beef, while dessert came in the form of a chaud-froid and zabaglione – a “hot and cold specialty”, according to E!

If they had any room left, guests were reportedly given the chance to sample the spectacular wedding cake.

Made by the Ramperti bakery, the chocolate bake included gold leaf decorations designed to “mirror some of the frescoes in the Aman resort room where the cake was unveiled”.

Details of the food at the wedding come after George’s new mother-in-law labelled their big day “legendary”.

"George and Amal radiated love all night," she told People magazine. "The wedding was so unbelievably special, it was legendary. These three days – the friends, the families, the atmosphere, everything – will stay with me all the rest of my life."
