Gnocchi with blue cheese

Lize van Wyk of Swellendam shared her favourite gnocchi recipe with us

Serves 4-6

Preparation time: 5 min

Cooking time: 20 min

500 g potato gnocchi

250 g bacon pieces

500 ml (2 c) cream

50 g blue cheese

salt and freshly ground black pepper

Boil the gnocchi according to the packet instructions.

Fry the bacon pieces until crisp and set aside.

Warm the cream in a saucepan over low heat and add the cheese, bacon and gnocchi.

Once it starts to simmer remove from the heat. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
