Grow that mo’!

We spotted local musician Graeme Watkins from the Graeme Watkins Project and comedian Deep Fried Man getting their Movember moustaches trimmed at their local barber shop

, Cutter & Co.

“I rock a beard and moustache combo all year long,” Deep Fried said. “So when it comes to Movember, all I need to do is shave the mo off and it’s back within three days! So I look Amish for a few days with a beard and no mo – but it’s for a good cause.”

Graeme said this is his first attempt at a proper mo' grow. “I’m loving looking like Freddie Mercury. It’s a great cause – Movember helps spread the word with regards to men’s health and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

Deep Fried told us he’s working on a one-man show for next year and thinking about producing an album, but “first things first – I can’t wait to find out if Late Nite News will take home an Emmy!”

Fellow comedian Loyiso Gola’s show, Late Nite News, on which Deep Fried Man has a slot, has been nominated for a second time in the Emmy’s International Comedy category.

Graeme and his band are planning to take their music to Europe. “After a bit of a sabbatical we’re looking to come back with a bang. We’ve just released our new single, Stand Here By Myself, and have had some interest from Europe. So it’s exciting times for us,” Graeme said.
