It is with a very heavy heart that I'm writing this post. My father in law Malcolm Fish passed away this morning after a short sick bed. I'm so grateful for the time we spend together over December." "The endless conversations you had with Luke and Zeke about football and how much they enjoyed spending the holiday with you. Even in your hospital bed last week, u always had time for a little joke. You will be very much missed, love you very much,” she wrote.

Malcom lived in Strand in the Cape and according to Louis, Malcolm, a pensioner who recently started working again as a driver, just “collapsed” last week Thursday.

“He was admitted to a hospital in Somerset West and then on Sunday he was transferred to Tygerberg Hospital. I don’t know what was wrong with him. They were looking into a stomach ulcer he had and they were going to do more tests. He passed away in the hospital at 1:30 this morning.”

Loui’s ex-husband, Mark, flew down on Thursday to visit his father from whom he had been estranged for a long time. They reconciled last year thanks to Loui, the mother of Mark’s sons Luke (18) and Zeke (15).

“I brought them together again last year – after 17 years,” says Loui, who is living in Durbanville in Cape Town these days.

“Mark came down last September. I took him to his father. Malcolm visited with me and the kids in in the Cape last December. In December or January he met up with Mark,” she explains.

“It is important to me that my children know their grandfather. I use to speak to him at least once a week or every two weeks, the same with Mark’s mother (Denise). I split from Mark, but not from the rest of the family…”
