Dogs have a reputation for being protective of their owners – but Cyrus has taken his watchdog duties to the next level.

The two-year-old Bullmastiff from Perth is overwhelmingly over-protective of his owner Lauren Birney.

Creepin

The ‘convicted creeper’, as Lauren fondly calls him, is constantly sneaking up behind beds, doors, and even stalks her in the shower – and his fixated stare often leaves her feeling a tad awkward.

“Sometimes I have no idea that he is creeping on me until I get up off a seat or look around the room and find he will be standing behind an object with his head sticking out staring at me,” she said. In the pictures Lauren posts on her Instagram page, Cyrus is always lurking nearby, his puppy-dog eyes peeking out from behind walls, a shower curtain and kitchen blinds.

But it’s not all creeping for overly attached Cyrus. The pooch is a life-saving dog as he practices donating blood for other dogs that are in-need. “He donates blood every 4 months at WAVES emergency vet here in Perth. He saves the lives of other dogs who need blood donations in emergencies,” Lauren says proudly.

Cyrus donated some blood today at WAVES. He donates every 4 months. I love my big brave creeper

Lauren has now dedicated a Facebook page to the pooch named Cyrus & Friends for fans to follow his adventures.

“Cyrus is my best friend. I love him. And it makes me SO happy that he can make other people happy too,” she wrote.
