Jordan is well on his way to following his late father’s footsteps.

Former Springbok legend Joost van der Westhuizen’s teenage son, Jordan, is well on his way to following his late father’s footsteps.

Jordan is currently in Madrid, Spain, where he’s representing South Africa in a soccer tournament, as part of the Gauteng district's under 13 team.

His mother, Amor Vittone, singer and presenter of Skoon-pa-se-tong on VIA, shared photos on Facebook of her son and his teammates’ departure on Saturday 1 July from O.R. Tambo airport.

“The day has arrived. The Gauteng District Team is off to represent SA! Passport in hand and ready,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Amor also thanked her parents, Dario and Delyse Vittone, for their financial contribution and emotional support and wrote: “Thank you so much Dadda for sponsoring Jordan and then surprising us with tickets and accommodation and making Jordan's dream come true! We love you.”

And on Monday 3 July she proudly shared precious photos of Jordan on Facebook: “They won! 1-0 in their 1st game! Off to the Opening Ceremony.”
