Serves 6-8

Preparation time: 20 min

Cooking time: 50 min

1 kg chicken pieces

salt and freshly ground black pepper

2 onions, sliced

10 ml (2 t) crushed garlic

500 ml (2 c) tomato sauce

500 ml (2 c) chutney

250 ml (1 c) Worcester sauce

250 ml (1 c) soya sauce

125 ml (½ c) rice wine vinegar

125 ml (½ c) brown sugar

15 ml (1 T) mustard powder

15 ml (1 T) chicken spice

15 ml (1 T) paprika

1         Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

2         Season the chicken with salt and pepper and transfer to a roasting pan.

3         Mix the remaining ingredients well, pour over the chicken and bake for 55 minutes or until the chicken is done. Serve with a salad.
