According to Senzo's father, Sam Meyiwa, Senzo's girlfriend is refusing to give up his things. “She is refusing with Senzo’s ID,” a "fuming" Sam told  DRUM from his home in Umlazi K section. “I am going to Johannesburg to try and reclaim all Senzo’s assets including his two cars.”
'This girl likes to show off. I don’t want her here'
Senzo was shot in the chest on Sunday night while visiting Kelly in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni. According to the Meyiwa patriarch, Senzo has three cars, inclduing the BMW X6 that Kelly has been spotted using.

“Senzo came two weeks ago to show me his brand new car and I’m told that Kelly is busy driving in that car. This girl likes to show off. I don’t want her here,” he told DRUM journalist Khosi Biyela.

Earlier today, Sam told media that he would only allow Senzo and Kelly's daughter to come to Senzo's funeral. He refused to allow Kelly to attend.

“The service is open to anyone who wants to come to pay their last respects to Senzo, but that girl [Kelly Khumalo] is not welcome. She mustn’t even think about coming,” Meyiwa’s father, Samuel told The New Age Newspaper.

“Mandisa is Senzo’s wife so of course she is welcome,” he added.

“If it wasn’t for Kelly my son would still be alive today,” he told DRUM, before he began to sob. Sam says Kelly did not phone the Meyiwa family to let them know what had happened on Sunday night -- they heard the news from Senzo's friend Tumelo Madlala, who had been at Kelly's home when Senzo was shot.

The family is still finalising the details of his funeral which will take place at King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi, Meyiwa’s hometown.

Khumalo has been unreachable since the police reportedly confiscated her cellphone following the shooting, but the singer released a statement expressing her support for the Meyiwa family this morning, the Sowetan reported.

The short statement read: “Kelly Khumalo and her family would like to express their sincere condolences to the Meyiwa family for the loss of Senzo Meyiwa, who was tragically shot at their family home in Vosloorus, in the presence of Kelly’s family [her mother Ntombi, sister Zandi, and son Christian] Tumelo and Mthoko [Senzo's friends] and Longwe Twala.

“This has been an incredibly traumatic experience for the Khumalo family. As the law takes its course, they request that they be given space and privacy to deal with this tragedy; and they thank you for the prayers and support.”
