A lawsuit brought by Lady Gaga’s former personal assistant who says her ex-boss cheated her out of overtime wages can proceed to trial.

A lawsuit brought by Lady Gaga’s former personal assistant who says her ex-boss cheated her out of overtime wages can proceed to trial.

A judge made the ruling on Tuesday in the lawsuit brought by Jennifer O'Neill. The judge says a jury can decide to what extent O'Neill might be owed compensation from the pop star. O'Neill worked for the singer in early 2009 and again for a year beginning in February 2010.

She says she was required to be available to the 27-year-old singer 24 hours a day, seven days a week and says she was paid a flat rate of $50 000 (R500 000) annually when she was first hired and $75 000 (R750 000) annually the second time.

Lawyers didn’t immediately comment.
