Mindy Kaling has been told her ass is “much bigger in real life” by a man with hummus on his face.

The 35-year-old funnywoman is a regular on Twitter, often posting silly tweets about her day-to-day antics. And last night Mindy didn’t disappoint as she took to the social networking site to share a bizarre incident which happened to her in New York, asking her followers for their help. “Does anyone know the crazy guy wandering around Soho with hummus on his face harassing people and singing opera? He followed me for 5 blocks,” she enquired. “He told me "my ass was much bigger in real life" and insinuated that he knew Jason Sudeikis. Anyone know him? This is all real. (sic)”

It seems like her questions paid off as several users appeared to confirm they too had witnessed the man, with one replying: “@mindykaling off Thompson??? (sic)”

“@RaachelRogers yes! Did you see him? (sic)” Mindy wrote back.

Earlier in the day the actress took the time to comment on Bradley Cooper reprising the stage role of John Merrick in The Elephant Man. He first took on the part in 2012 at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts and has now moved onto Broadway at Booth Theatre.

“Wait so Bradley Cooper was a raccoon and now he's the Elephant Man WTF I mean come on already

“That said I would like to see the elephant man (sic)” Mindy mused, referring to the star's animated raccoon role in Guardians of the Galaxy.

Mindy is best known for her TV show The Mindy Project, which is currently in its third series. Her parents were very supportive of her decision to get into comedy and in the lead up to her mother’s death in 2012 the actress remembers the relief humour would bring them.

"My parents allowed me to do something that no person in my family for generations had ever done,” Mindy previously explained. "When my mom was very sick we'd watch Modern Family, and it was a rest from that situation, that was so wonderfully needed. I know that's what entertainment can do at its very best."
