Mini beef pies

It takes little effort and only a couple of minutes to prepare these pies.

  • 2 large onions, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 15 ml (1 T) oil
  • 500 g beef cubes
  • 500 ml (2 c) beef stock
  • 125 ml
  • (½ c) red wine
  • salt and pepper
  • 5 ml (1 t) dried parsley
  • 250 g (½ packet) phyllo pastry
  • 45 ml (3 T) melted butter
Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  1. Fry the onions and garlic in the oil.
  2. Add the meat, stock and wine and simmer.
  3. Add salt, pepper and the parsley.
  4. Spoon into ramekins.
  5. Tear the phyllo pastry into pieces and press on top of the pies.
  6. Brush with melted butter and bake for 15 minutes.
