The part of weight loss no one ever talks about.

More often than not, incredible transformation stories portray losing weight as almost glamorous -- easy, effortless and appealing. They hardly, if ever, show the dark side of it. Fed up with this unrealistic perception, Ashley Graham has taken it upon herself to reveal what it's really like to lose a lot of weight.

Straying more and more from just wearing black

And she doesn't hold back.

In a recent Instagram post, the mom-of-two shared photos of her excess skin - a common problem when one loses as much weight as she did - 90 pounds (40 kg).

"'How did you avoid loose skin and stretch marks?' Heyyyyy, I didn't! Its all there. High waisted bottoms have become my bff," she wrote in the post, adding that the "anxiety posting this is REAL". "I'd be lying if I said my loose skin wasn't an insecurity of mine.. But I refuse to let it consume me. It doesn't hold me back like the weight used to. "This stomach has grown two beautiful boys.. Has been through a 90lb+ gain and loss (100lb+ lost from my highest weight while pregnant!) Will you have loose skin after losing weight? I can't answer that for you, everyBODY is different. "Will it be worth it, regardless? YES. Also for those who have asked.. I do plan to have surgery some day, but in the mean time I'm just working on self loooovvveeee. BE KINDDDD, I delete negativity (No itworks, creams, lotions, yada yada) #nofilter #stretchmarks."

The brave mom has also been using her Instagram page to document her weight loss journey.
In one of the heart-warming posts, she mentions her husband, whom she thanked for supporting her when she was at her worst. "We have been together through SO much, and over the years my body has changed drastically," she writes alongside a collage showing the pair before and after Ashley's weight loss. "We started dating when I was 15, and I was in and out of the hospital for an eating disorder and other stuff related to depression."

"When I was unhealthy, he told me I was beautiful. Fast forward to my first pregnancy, I gained and gained and ended up not losing my pregnancy weight. I was considered obese for 6 years. My struggles with depression continued. He told me I was beautiful. That my body was beautiful, and perfect the way it was."

Now that she's at a "healthy weight", Ashley says she's "learning to finally accept my body."

"To LOVE my body. Something I haven't ever really been able to do, and something that will probably be a struggle for me forever.. But one thing that hasn't changed is that HE loves my body. No matter my size, he has loved it, loved ME. Unconditionally. Genuinely. For that I am grateful. 3 YEARS!"
