A fourth suspect will also make a court appearance on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property, linked to this case.

The three suspects, aged between 22 and 27, were arrested late on Tuesday night after Franziska’s body was found in Tokai Forest on Monday afternoon. It’s believed the girl was strangled after going missing while jogging alone in the forest.

“She was badly smashed up; so badly that I couldn’t believe it. It was definitely not just robbery,” the girl’s father, Florian, told Die Burger newspaper yesterday.
