"My best Christmas ever was probably the one where I received my new bike from my parents (after my old one was stolen a few months before)!"

"My best Christmas was in 2010. We - my mom, dad, sister and I - decided to stay in Joburg and we had a fun day where we went on a food mission and pretty much spent the day together doing nothing and everything. It was a reminder of the importance of family and how fortunate I am to love and be loved unconditionally."

"I've been so lucky to have so many amazing Christmases but last year will forever remain special as it was our last with my father-in-law. This Christmas will be our first with my niece which is also going to be awesome."

"My best Christmas was in Berlin a few years ago. We arrived on the 24th and the whole city was decorated with Christmas lights - and on Christmas morning it started snowing just as we were heading for breakfast. I enjoyed the markets a lot as they serve the freshest and most delicious German food and “Gluhwein mit schuss”, which is warm mulled wine with a tot of any shooter - a perfect way to survive the icy cold weather."

"There isn’t one that stands out because they've all been special, but one I wish I could have again is the one where my sister and her family were here from Greece and the entire family spent the day together."

"The Christmas of 2014 was my best. I was with my whole family, including my two nieces, who were only a year old and seven months old respectively.

"My best Christmas to date was when I was 10 years old and my parents bought me a mountain bike."

"When I was an exchange student living in Belgium I experienced a white Christmas. Snow fell just before midnight and my host brothers and sister and I all ran outside, playing in the snow and making snow angels! It was fantastically cliched!"

"I think every Christmas is special in its own way. Asking you to choose your favourite is like asking you to say who you favourite child is!"

"I'm very selfish about my time with my immediate family so my favourite has to be any Christmas where we decide it's just going to be us - we'd invite relatives over another day! We had one of those in 2015. We went to church, opened gifts and then had a delicious meal. I don't cook but I always help with the chopping and I love washing dishes so that's always my responsibility. We also shared our favourite family moments and played charades and 30 Seconds, which my dad hates. But he really doesn't have a choice!"

"The best Christmas I have experienced was in Rio de Janeiro. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting, the food is amazing and the beaches are spectacular."
