A woman who posted her post-pregnancy pictures on Instagram in the hopes of rebuilding her confidence after giving birth to twins was shocked when they were removed for containing ‘nudity and violence’.

Hannah Moore, from Broxburn in West Lothian, uploaded the pictures with the caption ‘nobody should be judged by their size because everyone is beautiful’.

“Two minutes after the picture was uploaded my account got closed down, my mouth just dropped and my eyes watered,” Hannah said.

“I had written underneath the picture how unconfident I had always been, how relationships have been hard and how hard it is to find clothes that I like.”

A few minutes later, the twenty-year-old Instagram “logged itself out” accompanied with a message saying her account has been shut down because of violations.

Although Hannah’s account has since been restored, she thinks Instagram should be more careful “in whose accounts they delete and look into it further".

Instagram has admitted the incident was "a technical mistake". A spokeswoman said, "It was a technical mistake and the account has been restored." Meanwhile, a lot of women have been proudly sharing pictures of their stretch marks on Instagram, under the hashtag #LoveYourLines. This new trend follows the picture Chrissy Teigen posted of her thighs this week to show off bruises she’d got from bumping into kitchen door handles, but added this caption: ‘Stretchies say hi.’
