Henning appeared this morning in the Pretoria magistrate’s court on charges of murder and conspiracy to murder.

His appearance comes just a day after Andre Gouws (main pic) appeared in the high court in Pretoria yesterday and testified Henning had contacted him asking him to kill Chanelle.

Gouws and Ambrose Monye were found guity of murder last week following the killing on 8 November 2011 in Faerie Glen, Pretoria, when Chanelle was shot dead outside her son's nursery school.

Gouws testified Nico offered him R1 million to kill Chanelle so he could have permanent custody of their young son. He made these allegations about Nico in a plea bargain for a lighter sentence.

Henning handed himself over to police at the Villieria police station in Pretoria this morning, after which he was arrested.

His legal representative, advocate P van Wyk SC, asked in court that the case be postponed until Tuesday so they have sufficient time to prepare for Henning’s bail application.

Henning will be held in the Villieria police station until his next court appearance.
