Nicole Kidman has made her first red carpet appearance since her father’s death.

Nicole Kidman has made her first red carpet appearance since her father’s death. The 47-year-old actress was left devastated when Dr Anthony Kidman passed away earlier this month aged 75, following a suspected heart attack in Singapore. But after saying her goodbye at her father’s funeral, Nicole is doing her best to move on with her life. The actress was pictured looking in good spirits as she attended the Omega's De Ville Prestige Butterfly launch with husband Keith Urban in South Korea on Thursday night.

‘We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks’

Wearing a stunning black Dolce & Gabbana dress, Nicole also used the event as an opportunity to show off her newly-lightened hair.

Nicole’s appearance at the event came after she took to her Facebook page to thank fans for their support in the wake of her father’s passing.

In a joint statement with Keith, Nicole wrote: “We would just like to thank everyone for their love and prayers over these past couple of weeks.

"We are all heartbroken, but knowing we are in the hearts and thoughts of others is so comforting. Sending love, Nic and Keith xx."

Nicole previously shared some emotional memories of her father at his funeral at St Francis Xavier Church in North Shore last month.

She began with remembering the final time her late father visited her in the Big Apple three weeks ago, recalling how Anthony had tucked into a whole pizza which they had initially planned to share.

"I am so grateful he came to New York. And I'm so glad he ate all that pizza," she told the guests, including actor friend and fellow Aussie, Russell Crowe.

"I'm so lucky to be his daughter, and that he chose my mother to make me with.

"The only regret he'd have is that he's not here to see his beautiful grandchildren grow up. And that he's not here to take care of Jay [his wife Janelle and Nicole's mother].

"It's okay Papa, we're here to take care of her. I want to say to him, 'Don't worry, we'll be able to take care of her... I love you Papa.'"
