It was a simple taxi booking that caused secrets to spill out from behind the doors of one of Britain’s most high-profile homes. In June 2012 when art dealer Charles Saatchi received the 7 am call enquiring about an expensive booking to a polo match he thought it might be for his then-wife, celebrity chef Nigella Lawson.

But it turned out it wasn’t for her – the taxi was booked for one of their two personal assistants, who’d been living the high life at her employers’ expense. That phone call led to a series of events that resulted in a headlinemaking court case that could sound the death knell for Nigella's career.
