“Costa was more upset about the loss of income than Christopher’s messing around.”

In a recording of a conversation between a policeman and a close family friend of the Panayiotou family played on Wednesday it came to light that there was little love lost between Christopher and his father, Costa. In the recording it can be heard how Warrant Officer Leon Eksteen and the family friend, Phillip Vosloo, talk about a serious fight between the father and son after Costa found out about Christopher’s relationship with Chanelle Coutts.

Phillip can be heard saying: Phillip also refers to regular arguments between the father and son about the business and how Christopher managed it. Read more: Best friend of Christopher Panayiotou’s mistress raises eyebrows with Jayde tribute

Costa was apparently also unhappy with Christopher and Jayde moving in together after their engagement.

Judge Dayalin Chetty accepted the accuracy of the transcript which was presented to the court.

From the recording it’s apparent that Phillip viewed Chanelle as submissive while Jayde was stubborn, something Christopher took exception to. Leon says her stubbornness apparently caused Christopher much grief.

Terry didn’t hesitate to make regular objections while the audio recording was discussed in court.
